Looking actively for my first investment home, I landed in the city of Philadelphia - specifically the neighborhood of Fairmount. It’s a city and community where my family now resides and a city that has been constantly changing towards the better! I finally resolved my search with this three bedroom, 988 square foot single-family home. The two story home has an unfinished basement and one bathroom on the upstairs. Knowing that a downstairs bathroom would be ideal - I chose to add a half bathroom downstairs while simultaneously opening up the vestibule towards the kitchen, expanding the space. The kitchen was out dated yet showed promise with a latter expansion out towards the back patio that had allowed for a deeper space on the interior versus a larger outdoor area. With plans of gutting that kitchen entirely, updating room sizes with higher ceilings and updated fixtures and finishes - the renovation has been completed and the result of all the pain and headaches is finally worth it!
